Isolation

I ask myself "what else is there to do in life?"
Apart from going to school or working, what else is there to do in life?

Those who came to this world and have gone were after survival. Looking at it from birth, then to the process of going to school, then finishing school to get a Job. Some didn't even go to school, rather they learnt one skill or the other. You go to school so you can get a job, you get a job so that you can cater for your self and family. All these things are basically because of survival.

Thinking about all these things, I began to wonder that "what else is there to do in life?" Apart from going to school or working, what else can you achieve? What impact can you make? Is it only to survive?

After asking so many people this question, I was able to get few answers.

"Live your relationship life responsibly".
"Have fun and live a Godly life. If one can achieve this alongside school and work, I think one is fulfilled in life. And yes, marriage....fall in love with someone you love, have kids and live happy forever"

Well, I'm okay with that, but I still feel unsatisfied.
Some one also said "Be the change u wanna see here in the world. (Make your stay here worthwhile)". I like this answer. This motivates me a lot. Someone said "it's vanity upon vanity".

"To make impact in life. - To fulfill purpose". I was happy when I got this reply. "How do I fulfill purpose?" That question popped up my mind, but it's a question for another day.

Many people are in my position today, feeling the same way I'm feeling, asking themselves thesame questions that I'm asking - what else is there to do in life? Thinking about a period like this when there are no schools opened and some people are not working. Then they begin to ask the question.

Earlier today I got an answer and I feel is perfect.
"Live life at the present, life is just a pot of beans". He then made mention of the book of ecclesiastes, 'after all solomon had, at the end, he said it is all vanity'. Then I remembered an article that I read similar to this, "Life Is Just A Pot Of Beans. Let God Be The Cook. – By Kishi". You can check it out too.

Find your hobby, and try to become better.
Enjoy life as if it's not based on survival only.
Find your passion, invest in it and enjoy it.

18? 18. 1. I wanted to be 16 forever. For some people, 18 is the "grown-up" age, but I think mine was 16. It was a year of revelations and changes. No, I didn't make any special achievement. I just had a rude awakening, I had a mental and emotional transposition. I knew I had to be 'someone'. 2. I am writing this for me, but it is to you. To anyone who would care to read. It is the most personal piece I've ever written so far. I have a story, and I will tell. "Until the Lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter" _Chinualumogu Achebe 3. I was born on a Saturday, 18 years ago(or almost) People tell me I look and act older than my age. Indeed, I've always felt older, mature, mentally, emotionally and even physically and not till another person told me I look exactly my age, did I think otherwise. 4. I started writing this, the morning of October 4. I've always had plans to wr...

WHO AM I?  My name is Victor Olofinluyi. I am a from a prestigious family. A family with a great name, honour and respect. I am also the last child of the family so I am accustomed to being around primarily adults. I was always mature for my age.  In secondary school I was known for many attributes and talents. I draw, I create birthday cards for my friends in School. I was quite creative. I was also known for a good leadership spirit. I was chosen as the class captain in all of my secondary school years. The Conversation Series: The Teenage Limbo 2; with Fadun Toluwawumi

In the concluding part of the conversation with Fadun Toluwawumi,  Read the first part here she talked about her experience with peer pressure and she thinks the biggest challenge for a teen is the struggle to be understood. Read below;  Question: How did you deal with peer pressure? A : I've always believed I'm different from the rest so I can't follow what others have to say about me. My background was a constant reminder to not get engaged in some things. I have been taught some certain truth from the home so my friends saying something similar didn't appear right. I always remember there's a punishment for any mistake made because I have disciplinarians as parents, that alone helped me deal with peer pressure really well. Question: On the vices, Yahoo, moral decadence, indecent dressing, what is your opinion?  Any advice for the teens? A : One thing I've come to notice is, teens, believe whatever they do is right which makes it hard ...
