The World and Religion; Atheism

I've always wanted to write this. Midline, I would stop, not because the concept is too wide to grasp (perhaps it is), but because it is too big to put down.
Now, you may be wondering the difference between the two?
Trust me, there is, but our eyes see what we want to see, not what is there before us.
The topic of religion has always been controversial for people, afterall the search for a perfect being, on which humanity want to model after, is what we call religion.
The very basis of existence.
Man tends to fill gaps he cannot understand with the concept of a being called God, as an answer to unanswerable questions.
Humanity's greatest questions has always been
'Where do we come from?'
'Where are we going?'
The search for our origin and our destiny, to which answers have been attempted for, the most accepted being the Bible's account, that of Genesis___

let there be light, and there was...

And the greatest opposing party; Science, precisely Darwin's evolution theory___

we descended from apes...

But I'm just a reader looking for answers, and it's very easy to drift. When I do write about religion and it's banes, I want to savour every word, and every moment.
This series is a first for me, to gather knowledge from different perspectives, to learn and to inform and I have chosen this topic as a first, for absolutely no reason.

Atheism is the unbelief in the existence of God, gods, or anything spiritual. The staunch belief that everything happens by chance. The whole solar systems, galaxies and planets, the universe came to be by some sort of big bang theory or chemistry; primordial seas. There are different theories on how the human existence came to be, and I've read most.
So, believe me when I say I know all about the scientific explanations, the pressure from logical reasoning, the food for thought.

I do not believe anyone is born an atheist. Experiences shape people. You might have had a really bad situation that made you question the existence of God. Yeah. When you put your hope in one thing, hoping for a miraculous breakthrough, then your hope gets dashed. I've been there, and I know.
We want to experience this God by receiving, without trying to discover him first, to build a relationship.
In spirituality, the reverse is the case, you believe first then see.

Atheists are extremely intelligent people, some happy and successful, and some, the opposite. Common sense would tell you to follow proven facts and logical explanations, than to believe in a God you cannot see.
But there are instances that even science or philosophy cannot explain.
Do you want to believe you evolved from a monkey?
Or would you rather believe you are a masterpiece created for exploits and purpose, by an invisible hand behind the scenes, with impeccable mental faculties for reasoning?

You're allowed not to believe in religion, to diss Christianity and Islam, to question the faith (I am not a religious person myself); but to reach the level of intelligence where you question the existence of God?
It is a downhill journey, maybe for enlightenment and illumination, but you will spend your whole life looking for answers.

I believe God exists. And I believe in him.
He is in everything, everywhere. In you, in the complexity of our DNA, in nature, gravity and biology. There will be situations beyond human understanding. In such situations, learn to feel God.

But if you're already on the downhill journey, I hope you find your truth and peace.

18? 18. 1. I wanted to be 16 forever. For some people, 18 is the "grown-up" age, but I think mine was 16. It was a year of revelations and changes. No, I didn't make any special achievement. I just had a rude awakening, I had a mental and emotional transposition. I knew I had to be 'someone'. 2. I am writing this for me, but it is to you. To anyone who would care to read. It is the most personal piece I've ever written so far. I have a story, and I will tell. "Until the Lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter" _Chinualumogu Achebe 3. I was born on a Saturday, 18 years ago(or almost) People tell me I look and act older than my age. Indeed, I've always felt older, mature, mentally, emotionally and even physically and not till another person told me I look exactly my age, did I think otherwise. 4. I started writing this, the morning of October 4. I've always had plans to wr...

The Conversation Series: The Teenage Limbo 2; with Fadun Toluwawumi

In the concluding part of the conversation with Fadun Toluwawumi,  Read the first part here she talked about her experience with peer pressure and she thinks the biggest challenge for a teen is the struggle to be understood. Read below;  Question: How did you deal with peer pressure? A : I've always believed I'm different from the rest so I can't follow what others have to say about me. My background was a constant reminder to not get engaged in some things. I have been taught some certain truth from the home so my friends saying something similar didn't appear right. I always remember there's a punishment for any mistake made because I have disciplinarians as parents, that alone helped me deal with peer pressure really well. Question: On the vices, Yahoo, moral decadence, indecent dressing, what is your opinion?  Any advice for the teens? A : One thing I've come to notice is, teens, believe whatever they do is right which makes it hard ...
